THE HOUSING STABILITY AND TENANT PROTECTION ACT (HSTPA) Mandates and Help for Complying
The Housing Stability and Tenant Protection Act (HSTPA) went into effect June 14, 2019.
The Act requires changes to the New York City Lease Rider and the Emergency Tenant Protection Act Standard Lease Addenda as well as provisions regarding the Special Rights of Disabled Persons, Special Rights of Senior Citizens, Increases for Rent Stabilized Apartments and Preferential Rents.
Building owners must be compliant by October 24, 2019.
